This chocolate chip cookie recipe is a favorite in my home. The cookies are soft and chewy and full of flavor. The use of whole wheat flower and ground flax seed give them a deliciously earthy taste.
Now, don’t let that last statement turn you off. I promise you will love them!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Get creative with your cookie dough! I have found that if you use at least one cup of white flour, you can mix up the other 1 1/4 cups of flour and flax with other flours. Try almond flour, coconut flour, or nut flour. It is a great way to make your cookies a bit healthier!
Ingredients
- All Purpose Flour 1 cup
- Whole Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Ground Flax Seed 1/4 cup
- Baking Soda 2 tsp
- Salt 2 tsp
- Brown Sugar 3/4 cup
- Sugar 3/4 cup
- Softened Butter 2 sticks
- Vanilla 2 tsp
- Eggs 2
- Chocolate Chips 2 cups
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Combine flours, flax seed, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl combine butter, sugars, and vanilla until creamy.
- Add eggs slowly while mixing.
- Mix in dry ingredients.
- Mix in chocolate chips.
- Prepare cookie sheet with non-stick foil.
- Place spoon-fulls of cookie dough on pan with the non-stick foil.
- Bake for 10 minutes, give or take, to taste.
- Allow to cool and enjoy!
